Steering execution through to a shipped, adopted outcome, focused on outcomes over output
Delivery Oversight is the product side of execution: steering agreed work through the build until it is shipped, adopted, and doing what it was meant to do. It spans establishing working agreements, keeping a cross-functional team aligned, tracking progress and clearing blockers, managing scope against reality, and coordinating the launch.
Its purpose is to protect the outcome while the plan flexes. It does not own how the build is engineered — that stays with the delivery team — but it does own whether what ships is still the thing that was worth building, and whether anyone ends up using it.
Specified work has entered execution and needs steering — alignment, unblocking, and scope management — through to shipped and adopted.
Outcome-focused and adaptive — protecting the goal while flexing on the plan, unblocking rather than directing the build.
The work is shipped, adopted, and meeting its intended outcome — or the learning from why it did not feeds back into discovery and strategy.
