Whether shipped work worked, and what changes because of it
Checking whether shipped work is achieving its intended outcome — adoption and success measures against the targets set before launch, what worked and what did not, and the decision to iterate, invest, hold or wind down. The work runs from a scorecard that refuses to set a target after the result is known, through an analysis that puts outside factors on the table before blaming or crediting the product, to a review that routes each lesson to the discovery, strategy or roadmap work it should change.
Its purpose is to close the loop between what was shipped and what is decided next. A review that ends in a list of general lessons is filed and forgotten, and the next launch repeats the same mistake.
