The reusable assets every other Domain draws on rather than rebuilds
Shared library is the Domain that holds what everything else borrows. Rather than owning a stage of the practitioner’s work, it collects the durable, reusable material that cuts across every other Domain — templates, canonical definitions, reference documents, standards, and the common inputs that individual Workflows would otherwise rebuild from scratch each time they are needed.
Its purpose is consistency and reuse. When the same artifact is wanted in one Domain, then again in the next, and again a quarter later, it lives here once and is drawn on from wherever it is needed — so the rest of the Discipline spends its effort on the work itself rather than on re-assembling its raw materials, and everyone is working from the same version.
A practitioner needs an asset that isn’t specific to the task in front of them — a template, a standard, a canonical definition, or reference material another Workflow has already produced.
Reuse before rebuild. Find the canonical version, use it, and improve it in place rather than forking a private copy that quietly drifts.
The asset has been found — or added to the library for next time — and the practitioner returns to the Domain whose work they were actually doing.
